Copper Country Curling Club

Bylaws

Accepted: October 11, 1994

1) Purpose

1.1) The purpose of the Copper Country Curling Club is to promote the sport of Curling in Michigan's Western Upper Peninsula.

2) Membership

2.1) There shall be two levels of membership.

2.1.a) A Full Member shall pay a single fee to cover all curling activities for a given season, this fee shall include club membership dues.

2.1.b) An Associate Member shall pay dues for membership and a separate fee for each game played.

3) Fees

3.1) Membership dues and fees will be set by the Board of Directors at each an annual meeting held prior to the start of each curling season.

3.1.a) Full Membership Dues

3.1.b) Full Membership Additional Nights Dues

3.1.c) Associate Membership Dues

3.1.d) Associate Member per Game Fee

4) Rules of Play

4.1) All games of the Copper Country Curling Club shall be governed by the rules of the United States Curling Association.

4.2) Only Full Members shall be allowed to represent the Copper Country Curling Club in any State, Regional, National, World or Olympic competitions.

4.3) Rules specific to Copper Country Curling Club league play shall be approved by a majority vote of Club skips prior to the start of each season.

5) Board of Directors

5.1) The Board of Directors of the Copper Country Curling Club shall consist of the following officers; President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.

5.2) Only Full Members shall be allowed to serve as officers in the Copper Country Curling Club.

5.3) Elections for Officers shall be held at the end of each Curling season.

Added 19 April 1997 at the Annual Meeting: Vice-President moves to the Presidency seat automatically the Following year.

6) Voting Rights

6.1) Only Full Members in good standing shall be allowed to vote on any proposal put to the general membership of the Copper Country Curling Club.

7) Amendments

7.1) Modifications or amendments to the above stated By-Laws can be made only by a 2/3 approving vote of the voting membership after proper notification of eligible voting members.
